Last year Roswell students earned over $15 million dollars in scholarship money. These scholarships came from local community groups, specific colleges and universities, as well as through nationwide companies. So where do students find scholarships? There are four primary sources for finding scholarships:
- FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID PROGRAMS
The first and most important step in the financial aid process is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). - SCHOLARSHIP SEARCHES
Several free scholarship search websites are provided on our Guidance Links page, and do not forget about the opportunities published on the Scholarship Bulletin page.
- COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES
Many institutions have specific school-based scholarships and information is typically found under the Financial Aid/Scholarship link on their website.
- OTHER
Look into any scholarship opportunities that may be available through your place of employment, your parents place of employment, or through community groups where you volunteer.
